Recent News and Events

The Payette Land Trust announces three Conservation Easements accomplished in 2007.
Total acreage of the 2007 CE's was 2,483 acres. The PLT now has over 4000 protected acres!

1) A CE of 213 acres adjoining the Blackhawk Wildlife Preserve creates 365 protected acres along the Payette River. The new CE donated by Sima Muroff will expand the Blackhawk Wildlife Preserve to 365 acres. The wildlife preserve is the habitat for moose, elk, deer, ducks, geese, foxes, sand hill cranes, eagles, osprey, herons and otters. It includes wetlands, forested areas and a trail along the Payette River.

2) Cranberry Ridge is located South of McCall and west of West Mountain Road. Jerry Barnett placed a CE on 1286 acres with a trail that will be open to the Public.

3) Don Driscoll placed a CE on a 984 acre Ranch in Washington County near Cambridge, Idaho.
